About Voice mail Services
With great telecommunication developments and smarter technological advancements, voice mail is the most sought out phone service feature. A simple voice mail can provide important information and ensure that important calls are never lost. The option to save the voicemail messages and listen to them at a later date is also available to subscribers. Smarter solutions offer great flexibility to all parties within a telecommunication framework.
There is a variety of options when charging for voicemail services. First, voicemail service payments may be managed within the monthly bill, separately from other features. Second, voicemail may be offered free of charge with or without an upper limit on the number of free voicemail messages. Service providers may also have flexible and customizable plans and offers associated with revolutionary voice mail services.

How the Process Works
In order to benefit from voice mail services it is essential that they are activated. Voicemail service allows one to store voice messages on the go using either the service provider or by initiating a VoIP device. The following explain how voicemail services function:
• Following a number of rings, unanswered calls are automatically routed to an automated voicemail service.
• Callers are instructed via voice directions to record their message after the tone
• The caller may record a message and then have the option to listen to the recording as well as re record if necessary.
• Recipients can listen to the recorded messages by pressing *98 from a touchtone phone
• Old messages can be deleted. Old messages are recommended to be deleted promptly as there is limited space available.

Challenges
• VoIP service may be unreliable at times of power outage. Voice mail messages recorded during outages not guaranteed to be saved.
• Storage memory per message is limited. As a result, long messages may not be stored.
• When voicemail space has reached its limit, no further messages can be left until old messages are deleted. In order to avoid reaching the max limit, it is recommended to acquire a higher limit from the service provider or delete old messages promptly.
• Deleted messages may not be available for retrieval at a later date.

Key Benefits
• Subscribers may catch up with important work and action items from friends, family and colleagues easily and at any time of day.
• These are highly sophisticated voicemail options which are flexible and customizable to each subscriber’s unique needs.
• Through a simple button press one can move back and forth through their voicemail messages. The service offers subscribers the option to make a call back both while listening to the recording or at the end.
